Project of Louvain Coopération 2023-2024
Socio-professional integration of young people living on the streets of Kinshasa
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has a very young population, with over 66% under the age of 24, while the unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group is the highest, having risen from 15.85% in 2017 to 19% in 2020 (for the whole of the DRC).
We support the socio-professional integration of young people living on the streets by guiding them in their choice of profession and offering them vocational training courses, both long and modular. We organise internships, incubations, apprenticeships with craftsmen and accompany these young people in their professional integration (employment or self-employment).
There are two ways to sign up:
- When you register at UCLouvain, tick the "Solidarity Student" box. The €12 will automatically be added to your school fees.
- Use the form below. You must pay the €12 to Louvain Coopération's account to confirm your registration (see confirmation e-mail).
